Job Role: Senior Integration Specialist
Location: The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust recognises that data quality plays a crucial role in meeting the Trusts strategic objectives, underpinning the effectiveness and quality of services provided. The Information and Communications Technology strategy for the Trust is to adopt a ‘connect all’ rather than ‘replace all’ approach to clinical systems development, managed and developed in-house.
A new and exciting new job opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and technical Individual who is keen develop their skills in system integration technologies (for example HL7, Web Services, SOAP etc) and has a general interest in IT system development and maintenance.
You will be supported in the development and maintenance of system interfaces and have strong technical skills, experience of writing in one or more programming languages and knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS). Experience in SQL Server 2008 and the use of SQL for performing queries is an advantage. Adept at learning new technologies you will have attributes of picking up new skills quickly. A good communicator; you will be required to liaise with system suppliers at a technical level, delivering system integration and be able to demonstrate the ability to problem solve when testing new interfaces.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
