We are looking for a confident and motivated Dietitian to join our Dietetic and Speech Therapy Team at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The Hillingdon Hospital is a busy district general hospital in North West London and has a diverse patient population. It is situated close to Heathrow Airport and Brunel University and within a 10 minute commute by public transport to Uxbridge Town Centre which has excellent transport links to central London. The Trust has on-site accommodation and a crèche.
Our friendly team consists of 11 Dietitians, 7 Speech & Language Therapists and 3 administrators.
The successful candidate will be a key part of the gastroenterology multi-disciplinary team providing a high quality; evidence based dietetic service to the gastroenterology and hematology ward and gastroenterology dietetic outpatient clinics.
The post-holder will run several outpatient group education sessions for irritable bowel disease and coeliac disease. In addition the post-holder will be involved in providing regular training to staff and patients on nutrition related issues.
The Dietetic and Speech Therapy team is committed to continuing professional development, providing monthly coaching conversations and professional development sessions. We encourage staff as part of their annual appraisal to have an active involvement in audit and service improvement projects. There will also be opportunity to provide second line cover to other specialist dietitians in areas such as neuro-rehabilitation, diabetes, colorectal surgery and critical care.
